Climbing – towering sea cliffs and Quiraing at hand – much virgin rock – a complete range of climbs to test your skills.
Swimming – in the sea at Staffin beach; volcanic sand with sea urchin shells in a beautiful sheltered bay – no candy floss, only seals and otters. Follow real dinosaur footprints embedded in the rocks – see the fossils – the Jurassic landscape – go back in time millions of years ago …… but do not forget dinner at Flodigarry.
Cycling – quiet coast roads around Trotternish are ideal for safe exhilarating runs.
Diving, windsurfing and sailing on hand locally. You call we arrange.
Fishing

Further Information
A brief guide summarising what can be seen from the main road around Trotternish as one heads north from Portree indicates some of the attractions. The West Highland Free Press provide a downloadable visitor guide and map.
Nightlife - Non hectic: Music nights are a key feature of our Weekend House Parties and may include a ceilidh band, pipers and box players - all great fun so if this is your thing then please do come along to a special weekend break - at all other times, Flodigarry remains in peace and quiet!
Midges - Flodigarry has installed 'midge eaters' in and around the grounds. These new machines - on 24 hours a day - are proving to be most effective in eliminating the midge menace – enjoy a candlelit supper on the terrace!
